Chair Parks called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. All members were present, including the Administrative Manager; George Bumann was present for the public.

Administrative Manager Bush presented the July meeting minutes. Vice-Chair Dalling moved to approve the July minutes. Director Gerdes seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.


Administrative Manager Bush presented the current expenses and financial reports for the month. Secretary/Treasurer Stone moved to approve the current expenses and financial reports. Vice-Chair Dalling seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.

In Old Business, Chair Parks updated the Board regarding the project identified for SB241/additional 1%. The project identified is the Gardiner Water & Sewer Districts replacement of the sewage treatment plant. He presented the Board with draft language for the resolution and the ballot. Discussion was had concerning the timeline of having it reviewed by the District’s attorney, scheduling and holding a public meeting, getting the language to the Park County election office and the mail-in ballot procedures for a special election (doubtful this can all be completed in time for the November election). Manager Bush will forward these drafts to the District’s legal counsel and the Board will follow up with the Park County election office. The Board is hopeful a public meeting can be held in late August to move this project forward to the voters.

In other Old Business, the website hosting changeover is going slowly. Director Gerdes will be following up with Rebecca Demaree to settle some of the difficulties. No replacement has been found yet to fill the Board vacancy although Board members are reaching out and have a couple of candidates in mind. Collections for June 2020 are going smoothly, although collection amounts are down considerably. Finally, there is nothing new to report on the delinquent account being handled by the District’s legal counsel.

The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Gardiner Visitor Center. Possibly, a special meeting will be held regarding the 1% project on August 25, 2020. Manager Bush will let everyone know and place an advertisement for this meeting if it can happen on this date. Director Gerdes moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:03 PM. Vice-Chair Dalling seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed
