Minutes of the Regular Meeting – July 11, 2022

Gardiner Chamber Meeting Room

Chair Parks called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Richard Parks, Chairman, Greg Dalling, Vice-Chair, Bob Fuhrmann, Secretary/Treasurer, Director Taylor, and Director Klein were all in attendance; Admin Manager, Barbara Bush was present. No members of the public were in attendance.

Administrative Manager Bush presented the June meeting minutes. Vice-Chair Dalling moved to approve the June minutes. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed. Administrative Manager Bush presented the current expenses and financial reports for the month – pointing out a bill received last minute from the accountant. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann moved to approve the current expenses and financial reports, including the accountant’s statement. Director Taylor seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.

In Old Business, Chair Parks welcomed Beth Taylor and Bianca Klein to the Board; ensured their Oaths of Office had been completed; the Board answered a few questions and Administrator Bush explained some of the financial reports to the new members. Vice-Chair Dalling and Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann had a few questions concerning business registrations and remittances. No actions needed until later in the season and compliance is determined. Admin Manager Bush will follow up with the District’s legal counsel for advice on a couple of businesses.

In New Business, Chair Parks shared his experience setting up an online business and how it may or may not relate to the resort tax. Questions about how to go forward will also go the District’s legal counsel for advice. Director Klein will be assisting with the District’s website; she will meet with past Director Gerdes for some training.

There was no public comment.

The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at 7:00 PM at the Gardiner Visitor Center. Director Taylor moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:06PM. Director Klein seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed.
