Chairman Parks presented the July minutes. Secretary/Treasurer Fuhrmann moved to approve the July minutes. Vice-Chair Dalling seconded the motion. No discussion was needed; all voted in favor; none opposed. Motion passed. Admin Manager Bush presented the current expenses and financial reports for the month. Director Klein moved to approve the current expenses and financial reports. Director Taylor seconded the motion. All voted in favor; no opposed. Motion passed.
In Old Business, Director Klein led a discussion concerning the new Monthly GRAD newsletters. Topics and schedules were discussed; if drafts could be turned into Director Klein by the 1st of each month, the newsletter will go out before the 10th of each month which is a reminder to folks that submissions are due. Vice-Chair Dalling will write on the topics of appropriation projects. Director Klein and Director Taylor will notice the new businesses in town who have registered.
Next, another discussion was had concerning Online Businesses. Chair Parks mentioned that “double taxing” could happen. For example, a Gardiner business sells a product to a person in another state where a sales tax needs to be added – adding the resort tax would be more taxes on that purchase. No decisions or motions were made; this topic will be on-going.
In New Business, a discussion was had concerning the Quick Books fees attached to each payment made. Admin Bush suggested bundling submissions whenever possible to reduce fees.
